packing-list
What to bring when you don't know where you're going?
Okey, that is not completely true. I can explain it partially, but my intuition tells me to follow Lago Titicaca and go north over the Andes and down again where the mountains meet the Amazon...
So probably we won't need so warm clothes. But it will probably be quite far from places that sell most commodities that a Suede is used to or even a "Paceña" for that matter. Simply, I have divided the packing in the following way:
SECURITY
First things first. Since it is not only me, myself and I backpacking anymore, security is essential. I am naturally not a scared or worrying type so what is essential security for me might not cut it for someone else ;)
International health insurance for all the children, none for the adults. Cost 550 us dollars for three children.
First Aid Kit plus a first aid book for remote places. Plus a travel pharmacy.
Belonging to the security section is pots and pans in stainless steel, since mostly you can find in Bolivia is either teflon or aliminium.
ELECTRONICS
Apart from the regular, we have a tablet, a projector and full of downloaded films, and YES all this is to hypnotize the children when everyone needs it...
We also have two powerbanks which can be charged in the sun in emergency, plus a brute-treatment-water-safe external hard drive.
GLAMPING KIT
We brought two inflatable double mattresses and one single plus one double sleeping bag and three single.
BOOKS
Stalking the Wild Pendulum
ComBining
Inner Engineering
Left to read:
Sum (Forty tales from the afterlives)
A Brief Tour of Higher Consciousness
